Core Technologies and Structural Design
Basic Structure: Steel-cored aluminum stranded wire consists of a central steel core (usually galvanized steel wire or aluminum-clad steel wire) and outer layers of hard aluminum wire, concentrically stranded together. A common structure, such as "24/7," indicates 24 aluminum strands + 7 steel cores; the more layers, the stronger the fatigue resistance.
Advantages of Material Combination
Aluminum Wire: Conductivity not less than 61% IACS, low density, lightweight, suitable for long-span installations.
Steel core: Provides high-strength support, with a tensile strength exceeding 1100 MPa, ensuring safe operation of the line under harsh conditions such as wind load and icing.
Model naming rules: Models such as LGJ-240/30 indicate an aluminum cross-section of 240mm² and a steel cross-section of 30mm²; reinforced (LGJG), lightweight (LGJQ), and corrosion-resistant (LGJF) types are further subdivided according to the usage environment.
