Power Transmission Cable
Product Overview
Industrial power transmission cables engineered for continuous electrical distribution in heavy industrial, utility, and renewable energy installations. Designed for fixed installations in cable trays, underground ducts, direct burial, and outdoor environments. Standard configurations support operating voltages from 1 kV up to 35 kV, utilizing stranded electrolytic grade conductors wrapped in thermosetting insulation compounds to withstand high thermal loads and short-circuit conditions.

Product Construction
Conductor: Class 2 stranded annealed bare copper (IEC 60228 / ASTM B8) or compacted aluminum alloy (AA-8000 series).
Conductor Shield: Extruded cross-linked semi-conducting compound (for cables rated above 3 kV).
Insulation: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) applied via continuous vulcanization (CCV) extrusion lines.
Insulation Shield:
Strippable or bonded semi-conducting layer with a metallic copper tape screen.
Bedding / Inner Sheath:
Extruded PVC or PE layer providing a circular bed for metallic armor.
Armor:
Galvanized steel wire armor (SWA), galvanized steel tape armor (STA), or aluminum wire armor (AWA) for mechanical reinforcement.
Outer Jacket:
Heavy-duty PVC (ST2) or HDPE (ST7) compound extruded over the core assembly.
Applications
Utility Substations:
Primary underground power distribution networks connecting transformers and switchgear.
Renewable Energy Farms:
Medium-voltage collector circuits linking wind turbine generators and solar inverter stations to the grid substation.
Heavy Manufacturing Plants:
Main feeder lines supplying high-horsepower motor drives, smelting furnaces, and heavy-duty stamping presses.
Infrastructure & Tunnels:
Power transmission lines routed through subterranean utility tunnels, bridges, and railway electrification systems.
Available Options
Conductor Sizes:
10 mm2 up to 1000 mm2 (8 AWG to 2000 kcmil).
Voltage Classes:
0.6/1 kV, 3.6/6 kV, 6/10 kV, 8.7/15 kV, 18/30 kV.
Armor Variations:
Unarmored, Steel Wire Armored (SWA), Steel Tape Armored (STA), Aluminum Wire Armored (AWA).
Jacket Formulas:
Flame-retardant (IEC 60332-3), oil-resistant (ICEA S-73-532), termite-resistant, and low-temperature (-40C) compounding.

Drawing & Annealing: Multi-wire tandem drawing machines equipped with continuous resistance annealing to maintain elongation rates above 25 percent.
Extrusion Lines: Triple-extrusion crossheads utilizing dry-cure CCV lines under nitrogen pressure to eliminate micro-voids in insulation layers.
In-Line Monitoring:
Laser diameter gauges and high-frequency spark testers operating at line speeds to detect insulation anomalies instantly.
Routine Testing:
100 percent factory routine tests including conductor DC resistance measurement, high-voltage dielectric withstand test, and partial discharge measurement on medium-voltage reels.
Compliance Standards:
Manufactured in strict adherence to international electrical infrastructure benchmarks including IEC 60502, ICEA S-93-639, BS 6622, and AS/NZS 1435 specifications.
Customization
Custom core color-coding and numerical identification schemes for multi-core configurations.
Integration of fiber optic telemetry elements (composite power and control cables) for real-time temperature and strain monitoring (Distributed Temperature Sensing - DTS).
