Pv Cabling

PV cabling is a special type of cable designed specifically for solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems. It is primarily used to connect PV modules, inverters, combiner boxes, and energy storage devices. These cables typically possess properties such as high temperature resistance, UV resistance, cold resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy (halogen-free), making them suitable for long-term, harsh outdoor environments.

Product Feature And Application

Large-scale ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) power plants:
In centralized PV power plants, PV cables are widely used for series connection between PV modules, parallel connection of strings to combiner boxes, and DC connection from combiner boxes to inverters.

Distributed PV systems:
Distributed power plants are often installed on industrial plant roofs, commercial building roofs, or residential roofs, where space is limited and wiring is complex. Our PV cables possess excellent flexibility and bending resistance, adapting well to the construction environment. The PV1-F series, in particular, has become the mainstream choice due to its compact structure and easy installation.

Building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems:
In this type of application, our cables not only meet electrical performance requirements but are also compatible with building structures, featuring fire resistance, aesthetics, and ease of maintenance.

PV energy storage systems:
Our PV cables can be used to connect the DC lines between battery clusters and inverters. They can adapt to low impedance and withstand thermal stress changes caused by frequent charging and discharging, ensuring system efficiency and safety.

FAQ

Q: Why can't ordinary electrical wires replace PV cabling?

A:
Material's poor weather resistance:
Ordinary PVC wires become brittle and crack under prolonged sun exposure, leading to insulation failure and the risk of leakage or short circuits.
Poor temperature adaptability:
The temperature at photovoltaic system sites can reach over 100℃, while ordinary PVC wires only withstand a maximum temperature of 70℃, making them extremely prone to melting.
High safety hazards:
Non-dedicated cables may not meet the safety specifications of photovoltaic systems, affecting project acceptance and even causing insurance and warranty to expire.
Decreased system efficiency:
Inferior cables have high resistance and low voltage, resulting in increased line losses and impacting power generation revenue.
