Description

Product Description

Our factory produces outdoor low voltage cables consisting of three parts: the conductor, the insulation layer, and the protective layer. The conductor, used to conduct current, is generally made of multiple strands of copper or aluminum wire twisted together. The product features reliable operation, no need for poles, no land occupation, unobstructed appearance, and minimal susceptibility to external influences, making it widely used in low-voltage power distribution systems.

Product Feature And Application

There are generally three methods for laying outdoor low voltage cables:

◆ Direct Burial

  • This is the most common method. Burial Depth Requirements: In ordinary areas, the cable sheath should be at least 0.7m below ground level. In farmland or roadways, the burial depth should be at least 1.0m. When crossing highways or railways, a protective steel conduit is required, with a burial depth at least 0.8m and a soil cover at least 1.0m above the conduit.
  • Protective Measures: A 100mm thick layer of fine sand or soft soil should be laid above and below the cable, and it should be covered with concrete slabs or bricks for protection. Cable marker posts should be installed at bends, joints, and intersections for easy maintenance.
  • Environmental Adaptability: When planning the laying, avoid areas with heat pipes, chemical corrosion, and mechanical vibration sources. Maintain a safe distance from other pipelines.

◆ Conduit Laying:

  • This method is suitable for crossing roads, buildings, or vulnerable areas.
  • Pipe diameter requirements: The inner diameter of the protective pipe should be greater than or equal to 1.5 times the outer diameter of the cable.
  • Sealing requirements: The pipe should be sealed and waterproof, and the pipe ends should be smoothly ground to prevent scratching the cable insulation layer.

◆ Cable tray/cable trench installation:

  • This scenario requires layered installation. Different voltage levels should be layered, with high voltage on top and low voltage on the bottom, separated by partitions. Additionally, the metal cable tray must be grounded throughout to ensure electrical continuity.

FAQ

Q: How to choose a suitable outdoor low voltage cable?

A: The selection of an outdoor low voltage cable requires consideration of factors such as voltage level, laying environment, mechanical strength, and climate adaptability. We highly recommend our cross-linked polyethylene insulated steel tape armored cable. This type of cable features low-temperature resistance, pressure resistance, and moisture resistance, making it suitable for direct burial, conduit installation, and installation in complex terrain.
