Products Description
An aluminium stranded conductor is an overhead conductor composed of aluminum-clad steel wire as a reinforcing core and hard aluminum wire stranded together. It is widely used in transmission lines of various voltage levels and transmission lines that require a larger aluminum-to-steel cross-sectional area. It can also be used in transmission lines in coastal areas, saline-alkali land, and areas with third- or fourth-level industrial pollution.

Product Feature
- Excellent electrical conductivity: Hualun's aluminium stranded conductor uses a high-quality aluminum core, with conductivity second only to copper, making it suitable for power transmission.
- Low price: Hualun's strong capabilities and high production capacity allow for lower production costs for its aluminium stranded conductor.
- Lower mechanical strength: Aluminium stranded conductor has relatively poor tensile strength, therefore it is generally not used in long-span or high-tension transmission lines.
- Moderate corrosion resistance: Aluminium stranded conductor lacks special protective measures and is prone to oxidation in humid or industrially polluted environments; long-term use requires consideration of protective measures.

FAQ
What are the maintenance techniques for aluminum stranded wire?
1,Corrosion Protection and Maintenance
For ordinary steel-cored aluminum stranded wire, apply neutral anti-corrosion grease (dropping point ≥110℃) to the joints to prevent electrochemical corrosion. In coastal or heavily polluted areas, it is recommended to conduct a comprehensive corrosion assessment every 4–8 years, and replace the conductor if necessary.
2,Extreme Weather Response
In high-temperature weather, pay attention to the sag of the aluminum stranded conductor to avoid insufficient clearance to the ground. Before the windy season, check the tightness of the hardware to prevent loosening and detachment. After snow and ice, promptly remove ice to prevent wire breakage.
