Product Application
For transmission lines with voltages exceeding 220 kV, it is recommended to use Hualun expanded-diameter conductors to reduce line reactance and corona loss.
Hualun expanded-diameter conductors are manufactured by creating a hollow core within a standard conductor or by reducing the number of individual strands in specific layers, thereby increasing the conductor's effective radius. In UHV and EHV transmission projects, these conductors can reduce corona loss by 20–30%. In high-altitude regions, they can yield savings of 10–15% in project investment costs per kilometer.
